Indigo Wine is looking to recruit an experienced Sales Manager to join our team and manage customer accounts in London and across the UK

About Indigo Wine:
Established in 2003, Indigo Wine is an award-winning importer working directly with small artisanal growers from all over the world, with a strong focus on Spain. Our customers cover Michelin-starred restaurants to Gastropubs and Independent Merchants to National Retailers. We are a highly respected name in the UK wine trade and are the creators of the Viñateros event.

We are looking to expand on the success and growth that we have seen in the last 21 years and this Sales role will be central to achieving that.

About the role

  • Achieve sales target on existing accounts and new business
  • Adopt a customer-first approach to sales
  • Work along with our senior account management team to look after off- and on-trade accounts within London and across the UK
  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing activities, including producer visits, trade tastings and new wine launches
  • Deliver outstanding staff training to customers
  • Grow awareness of the Indigo Wine portfolio across all trade outlets
  • Work with the Operations teams on account management responsibilities, including customer pricing, orders and stock
  • Provide regular reports on customer sales activity to the Sales Director

Successful candidates will ideally have the following:

  • Experience in a similar sales role with a track record of hitting targets and securing new business.
  • Good market knowledge and connections within the UK hospitality industry would be beneficial
  • Excellent organisational, written and computer skills.
  • A team player, with a positive can-do attitude and able to work successfully with a large and diverse portfolio
  • Great people skills and a friendly manner.
  • A passion for and knowledge of wine to WSET Diploma level or equivalent.
  • The desire and ability to take on additional responsibilities and progress within the company.
  • Full UK driving licence
